As the Waters Cover the Sea

“Above all, do no harm.”

The above quote is attributed to Hippocrates, but Aesculapius predated him by hundreds of years and may have been the source of the thought. Aesculapius was the ancient Greek god of healing. He pioneered the use of simple, natural remedies and the compassionate treatment of mental distress. For that reason, Homer called Aesculapius “the blameless physician.”

Aescalapius carried a thick, rough-hewn cypress branch entwined by a single snake. In ancient lore, cypress was the symbol of life after death and comfort in grief. The snake, reborn as it sheds its skin, signifies transformation.

Aesculapius books and tapes invite you to dive deeper into the mysteries of life. They invite you to examine thoughts, feelings and attitudes, cause and effect, stress and disease; to remember who you are, to reclaim peace of mind, relinquish fear and judgment, and regain robust mental and physical health.

Aesculapius Press products are inspiring, provocative, informative and helpful.
